Utilization of school libraries by teachers: A case study of public secondary school teachers in Ado Local Government area of Ekiti State

The paper surveys the utilization of school libraries by secondary school teachers in Ekiti State. The objectives of the study are to determine; the suitability of the school library materials to the teacher; problems militating against the use of school library and proffer solutions to the identified problems…Materials not in line with school curriculum, non-inclusion of library hour in the school timetable, lack of professional staff and standard library, among others were the problems that hindered the use of school libraries by the teachers in Ado L.G.A. of Ekiti State. The paper proffers possible solutions to the identified problems.
