Perception of cataloguing and classification courses by undergraduate librarianship students of the university of Ibadan and Delta State University, Abraka Library Schools

Abstract

The study examined the perception of cataloguing and classification courses by undergraduate librarianship students of the University of Ibadan and Delta State University, Abraka. It was a survey study. Questionnaire was the instrument used for the collection of data. 233 questionnaires were used for the analysis. The study revealed that majority of students from Delta State University of Abraka perceived the courses as difficult while half of the students from University of Ibadan perceived the courses as difficult which may attributed to insufficient practical or non availability of cataloguing and classification/indexing laboratory…
