Readers’ services in academic libraries: The case of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti

Abstract

The paper takes a critical look at the role of libraries in tertiary institutions with particular reference to the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti library which is primarily to support teaching, learning and research. In discharging this responsibility, materials are acquired to provide services for the purpose of satisfying reader’s needs.
